Welcome to your own peaceful holiday heaven...
Welcome to La Bourelie.

Set in a superb location above Plazac, with wooded valleys to the east and west, La Bourelie caters for groups of up to nine. It is ideal for both families and couples who want to enjoy the peace and quiet of the lovely Périgord Noir countryside and discover all the local holiday and sight seeing activities: The Lascaux Caves, Les Eyzies, the Rivers Dordogne and Vézère – to mention only a few of the many beautiful and interesting places that are all within easy driving distance of La Bourelie.

After a busy day, the return home and the drive down the private lane leads you to your own secluded holiday haven. There are several acres of land to explore, with a network of footpaths and lanes all starting from the house – no need to get in the car. The area is excellent for cycling, walking, and canoeing, with riverside and lake beaches for some wild swimming and fishing.

Calling all cycling fans!

We are very excited about Tour de France 2014...

Phil (one of your gîte hosts) has followed this world famous, gruelling race all his life. One of the many perks to living in the Dordogne is being close enough to watch and get immersed in the event in real life. La Bourelie is a close and easy drive to the later stages (19 + 20) and well worth the trip.

The 101th Tour de France begins in Yorkshire this year, and runs from Saturday July 5th to Sunday July 27th. If you are keen to see the race please email Phil at and he will happily give you some advice.
